Shakespeare and young talent are the winners at the Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2007, hosted today by its Chairman Charles Spencer, theatre critic of The Daily Telegraph, at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London. Leanne Jones won The Jack Tinker Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in Hairspray and Polly Stenham, who enraptured theatreland with her debut play at the Royal Court, That Face, was presented with the Most Promising Playwright Award by Metro critic Claire Allfree.
